Medical Marijuana Bills in State Legislatures PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 24 January 2007
In spite of the recent DEA raids in California and Washington State, state legislatures around the country are quietly introducing medical marijuana bills. Massachusetts, Michigan, South Carolina, Vermont and Montana all have bills filed. New Mexico and Texas will have bills filed soon.

The Vermont bill is actually an expansion of their 2004 law. Recently their Senate Judiciary committee voted 4-1 to expand the conditions for which people could  use medical marijuana under their law.

The Montana bill would also expand the type of healthcare providers who could certify a debilitating condition and increase the amount of marijuana allowed for medical use.
