Lame Excuses = No Excuse For Not Allowing Sick People to Medicate PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 11 April 2007
Despite the threat of the Governor’s veto, a Minnesota committee passed a medical marijuana bill today. According to the article, the sponsor speaking about cancer patients said, "I'm bucking the system on this one because traditional medicine hasn't worked for them."

That about sums it up for most people who use medical marijuana. They try all the prescription medications and when those either fail to produce results, or create toxicity and incapacitating side effects, they look for better answers. What’s wrong with that??

I’m really tired of hearing the same old lame excuses for why people shouldn’t be allowed to use a medicine that relieves their suffering. “It will send the wrong message to the children,” just doesn’t hold up. Does arresting sick people, incarcerating them and humiliating them for medicating themselves, send the right message??
