AFSCME Endorses Medical Marijuana

According to a recent Marijuana Policy Project press release the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), which represents 1.4 million American public services workers' in the country, passed a medical marijuana resolution this week in Chicago.

AFSCME is considered the largest union for workers in the public and private sector nationwide, representing a diverse group, including nurses; corrections officers, EMTs and child care providers. Their endorsement lends another important voice to a growing movement of organizations that support this compassionate stance.
