Xiaomi's Next-Gen SU7 Sets New Endurance Record: 4,264 km in 24 Hours
The Xiaomi SU7 Max, a cutting-edge electric sedan, has achieved an impressive feat in the automotive world. During a rigorous 24-hour endurance test, the Max variant of the new-generation SU7 covered an astonishing 4,264 kilometers, surpassing the previous record set by Xpeng's P7 model. This achievement marks a significant milestone for mass-produced vehicles, showcasing Xiaomi's commitment to innovation and performance.
The test, conducted in Yancheng, Jiangsu province, eastern China, pushed the vehicle to its limits, reaching speeds of up to 240 kilometers per hour and operating continuously for 24 hours, including charging time. Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun likened this feat to running a marathon at sprint speed, highlighting the vehicle's exceptional capabilities.
The Xiaomi SU7 Max is powered by the V6s Plus motor, capable of 22,000 rpm and supporting a top speed of 265 km/h. Built on an 897-volt silicon carbide high-voltage electric platform, it houses a 101.7-kWh ternary lithium battery, boasting a peak charging rate of 5.2C and an 835-kilometer CLTC range per charge. This combination of advanced technology and efficient design has contributed to the vehicle's outstanding performance.
Xiaomi EV, established in 2021, has been making waves in the electric vehicle market. The SU7 electric sedan, launched on March 28, 2024, positions itself as a formidable competitor to Tesla's Model 3. The company's commitment to innovation is further evident with the launch of the SU7 Ultra, a performance-enhanced electric sedan, and the YU7, its first electric SUV, both introduced in 2025. Xiaomi EV's rapid growth is reflected in its 2025 deliveries, with 411,837 vehicles sold, bringing cumulative deliveries to 551,308 units.
Looking ahead, Xiaomi EV plans to launch four new models in 2026, expanding its presence in the electric vehicle market. With a target of 550,000 vehicle deliveries, Xiaomi aims to achieve a 34% growth from its 2025 sales. The company's strategic moves and technological advancements position it as a key player in the competitive electric vehicle industry.
